Beaton edged out Ryan Searle who had not played since Friday due to a late withdrawal from James Wade giving him a lucky bye.
It wasn't lucky though with 'The Bronzed Adonis' continuing his brilliant run of form as of late to move through.
Webster hasn't been in brilliant form as of late but seems to be coming into it at the right time and that was underlined with 'The Demolition Man' edging past in-form Gerwyn Price.
He won through 6-4 including three ton plus checkouts which featured the biggest checkout in the form of a 170.
It was Aspinall though who put in one of the best performances of the day in defeating Daryl Gurney. 'The Asp' averaging 102 ended up winning 6-4 also with Gurney playing his part with a 101 average himself. It was a high quality performance from the UK Open champion who just keeps getting better and beter.
