Beaton, Durrant, Aspinall and Smith among qualifiers for Dutch Darts Masters

The first European Tour Qualifier of the day is complete for the Dutch Darts Masters taking place in Zwolle next weekend with the likes of Steve Beaton, Glen Durrant, Nathan Aspinall and Michael Smith making it through.
Beaton has had an ever present record of European Tour qualification so far this season and has kept that up edging out Adrian Gray in his final round.
Durrant had a tough test in his final round with Jamie Hughes facing off against the three time Lakeside champion and 'Duzza' only came through in a last leg decider.
Aspinall had no such problems coming through against Conan Whitehead 6-2 whilst Michael Smith who was making his first European Tour qualification attempt since July 2014 whitewashed Mark Dudbridge in his final round.
The most impressive performance of the qualifier though came from Ross Smith who smashed in a 112 average to see off Justin Pipe and he continues his excellent form as of late.
Keegan Brown, Alan Norris and Brendan Dolan were also among the qualifiers with one more to come on the UK side today.

- Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. Indicates to me that the prize money is skewed to much towards the top players, meritocracy must rule but a fair distribution of the money is needed otherwise its only ever about a select few.Mysstree09-01-2025

- It is shocking and unbelievable that 2 Hotty who was always such a decent player, 2 time World Champion and won the Grand Slam when it meant something. He really should have joined the PDC earlier. It is quite pathetic and desperate the way Bunting and Arsepinall pander to the crowd to dance to their walk on music, that has worked though. I would like to see more players involved on a weekly basis similar to the Modus Super Series. A knockout tournament with 16 winners from each week.
