The ladies pairs tournament of the WDF Europe Cup will be won by an English team. Pairs Lorraine Winstanley/Fallon Sherrock and Deta Hedman/Maria O'Brien both reached the final.
They will face each other on Saturday, the finals day at the
WDF Europe Cup. It was also a successful day for the four-person team as they moved into the semi-finals after a convincing 9-1 victory over Ireland. They will face Sweden on Saturday and eventually Scotland or Netherlands in the final.
The final of the men's singles will go between Martin Heneghan (Ireland) and Pavel Jirkal (Czech). Paul Hogan and Nigel Heydon both lost in the quarter-finals.
