Rob Cross came through this afternoon in the first round of the Shanghai Darts Masters in a comprehensive 6-0 whitewash of Chen Gan Liu.
Cross will now face James Wade tomorrow in the Quarter-Finals and he admitted that he was happy to come through the first round tie. For him he sees the gears coming back that saw him claim the World title but has said he hasn’t had to use them yet but could do tomorrow against a tough opponent in Wade. “I got better as the game went on, I was comfortable so I’m happy,” said Cross. “I feel like I’m getting the gears back that I had last year, I didn’t need them today but we’ll come back tomorrow and have a go at James, it should be a good game and one I can really get my teeth in to.”
