Darryl Fitton got through to Round 2 on Monday but it was less than plain sailing for the former World Trophy and Finder Masters winner who came out a 3-2 winner against Justin Thompson who came through a preliminary game to get there.
Fitton though hit a 170 checkout to right the wrongs of a poor performance from the Stockport native who next will have the test of Glen Durrant, the number 1 seed.
He will have to reach top form to test the Teesider who stormed through against Gary Robson and looked good. Watch below as Fitton spoke to Mackenzie Cadman of Tungsten Tales after his victory:
