Jeffrey de Zwaan made a brilliant World Grand Prix debut seeing off Kim Huybrechts in a straight sets victory to continue his brilliant 2018.
De Zwaan spoke after the match and said that before hand he wasn’t playing well in practice but as soon as he got on the stage everything went brilliant.
He added though that for him the pressure is now on after his exploits early on in the year but it has given him confidence.
“I played brilliant, first I was practicing in the practice room I thought I really have to work hard on the stage as I didn’t have no trebles, no doubles”, said De Zwaan.
“I went on stage and everything went well, brilliant”.
“I didn’t see Kim hitting a lot of trebles, after that it was keep on focusing on starting really great on the doubles”, continued the Black Cobra.
On his year so far and the confidence that has given him: “Of course it has given me a lot of confidence, now I know I can be one of the top players but it gives a lot of pressure as well as you are now one of the big guys”.
