Chris Dobey got the honour to play Phil Taylor in his farewell tournament. 'The Power' confirmed earlier this year he will retire after his 29th World Championship participation.
Dobey, nicknamed Hollywood, made his debut at the World Championship last year. He beat Justin Pipe 3-1 in the first round, before losing to Dave Chisnall in the last 32.
''It is a dream to face Phil in his last-ever World Championships, a real privilege'', the 27-year-old from Bedlington told to The Sun in an interview.
''At the same time it's a really tough draw, one of the hardest. It's a real chance to make a name for myself.'' He added on Twitter: ''I simply can not wait for it.''
