Glen Durrant has won his maiden PDC ranking title within a month after securing his Tour Card. 'Duzza' defeated Dimitri van den Bergh to claim victory at the fourth Players Championship event.

The three-time Lakeside champion reached his second Pro Tour final, after losing the final of Players Championship 2 to Dave Chisnall. One week later, Durrant secured his first title.
Durrant broke Van den Bergh's throw in the second leg and gained another break of throw in the tenth leg with a 12-darter. The difference was made and hit a 76 finish to seal the victory.
The Middlesbrough ace impressed throughout the day with wins over Jamie Lewis, Ritchie Edhouse, Joe Cullen, Mensur Suljovic, Bradley Brooks and Gerwyn Price as well. He averaged over hundred in four of his seven matches.
