Glen Durrant will be one of the standout names to take to the stage this weekend at the Grand Slam of Darts.

The Lakeside World Champion spoke to Teesside Live this week and Durrant said he is ready and just wants to get out there. "The adrenaline was flowing just watching the draw and that’s before I’ve even thrown a dart” On which some said was the Group Of Death: “I'll take that, it could have been a lot worse, it's a good draw for me." He added: "I'll be perfectly honest with you, I wanted to avoid Michael van Gerwen. He'll be a wounded animal this week after a couple of early exits recently. "I knew it was going to be difficult regardless of the draw. There are too many good players for that not to be the case. But, if you'd offered me that group on the morning of the draw I'd have taken it. "I know I'll have to be at my best, though. Simon Whitlock is a Premier League player, Gerwyn Price is a Premier League player and Andrew Gilding is a very good player who’s playing really well” "But I know where my game is at, like I said that's a good draw, I can't wait."
