Durrant wins Cheltenham Masters after defeating Van Gerwen in final

Glen Durrant has started off the next weekend of Players Championship action well by claiming victory in an exhibition in Cheltenham.

He defeated Michael van Gerwen in the final with a 106 average. Despite playing in the event, MVG has decided to skip this weekend so won’t be seen in Barnsley. Also involved in the event in a stacked line-up included the likes of Vincent van der Voort, Gary Anderson and two of the best ladies players in Corrine Hammond and Anastasia Dobromyslova.
