Day 3 of the
World Grand Prix sees the beginning of the second round and 4 almighty clashes in Dublin.
Dave Chisnall takes on Robert Thornton to open day 3's action at the Citywest. Chizzy, who averaged 101 in his opening fixture on Sunday will be hoping for more of the same as he takes on the last remaining former champion Thornton. The thorn was also impressive in his defeat of Kim Huybrechts in the first round, and will be hoping to make the most of his reprieve into the tournament following Phil Taylor's withdrawal.
Premier league hopefuls collide in the second match of the night. Daryl Gurney has already negotiated a tricky opener against Adrian Lewis. He'll have to see off Joe Cullen if he wishes to stay in the competition and chase his first major title.
Michael van Gerwen's conqueror John Henderson meets Alan Norris in match 3 of the evening. The Highlander beat the world number one in a last leg shootout to complete one of the biggest shocks in a TV major ever. Norris overcame a one set deficit against Justin Pipe in Sundays opener.
Former World champions Raymond van Barneveld and Steve Beaton will close out the evenings play. Both showed there class in the opening round. Barney defeating a spirited Kyle Anderson, and Beaton beating new kid on the block Rob Cross on his Grand Prix debut. The pair will duel for a spot in the third round.
