John Henderson came through in a close clash against Gabriel Clemens and the ‘Highlander’ admitted it was really tough.

As well as that Henderson spoke about how lucky he was to win against the in-form German and that he’s just pleased to be through.
“That was so tough, I thought the stage would have been a lot different. Gabriel (Clemens) played the way I know he can play and I’m just lucky to get over it. It was hard work I got off to a great start and he got back in but happy to get over the line,” said Henderson.
“I know I had a good run last year with beating Daryl (Gurney), that was a massive thing for me but this year I’ve got over a massive hurdle against Gabriel (Clemens).”
He added on facing Michael Smith in the next round that he hopes he will be thinking more of his wedding than facing him.
“Michael is one of the top players in the world and one of the favourites for the tournament. I’m going to up my average at least ten or eleven points but I’ll go home and prepare, I’m looking forward to the game; I think I’ll give him a good game. I believe I can beat him and hopefully he’s thinking more of his wedding in January than the game.”
