Hopp delights home crowd with win over Wright, Van Gerwen wins Dutch clash

Max Hopp thrilled his home crowd at the German Darts Open with a 6-4 victory over Peter Wright. The Scotsman took a 4-2 lead, before 'The Maximiser' won four legs on the spin to beat the defending champion.

Michael van Gerwen only dropped one leg in a 6-1 win against Danny Noppert. The former Lakeside finalist took the second leg, but missed to many small chances to bring the world number one in troubles.
