John Scott sealed an Estonian double header over the weekend, winning both the Estonian Open and the Estonian Masters.

The 38 year old had previously reached the Lativian Open final losing to Darius Labanauskas. Speaking to Inside the BDO podcast he said that he “absolutely never expected to come away with both trophies”.
“I’ve put the miles in the try and get points on the board and hopefully I can continue to do so.”
“I’m doing well this year. But there is still a lot of Catagory A tournaments where people can have big jumps up so I’ve got to keep going” continued the Middlesex man.
“I’ve had good weekends before and it’s all about being consistent. I feel more confident”

Scott also spoke about his experiences on holding a PDC Tour Card between 2012 and 2014 “I was going to the same two or three venues every time and I wasn’t enjoying my darts like I’d want to. “I said that I needed a year off just to get that hunger back, getting beat every week can really knock you back.” Said Scott When asked if he felt he had unfinished business Scott said “Never say never but Q-School is four of the hardest days of darts anyone will play. There is great players fighting for those cards and it’s draining. “And it’s one thing getting a card but it’s another thing keeping it and that’s what you need to do to have serious aspirations.” Scott’s performances this year have put him in a good position to be in contention for a Lakeside spot this year. It would be Scott’s first appearance at Lakeside, but he has played in a BDO major before, playing in the World Masters last year. And that seems to be what caused the upturn in his form and getting him into contention for a Lakeside place. Scott currently sits in the BDO Ranking table.
