Lewis is one of the seeds at the World Matchplay after a late charge into the top 16. This could see a second round meeting with Michael van Gerwen but he isn’t looking past James Wilson in the first round. Despite that though he is a buoyant mood and wants to claim one of the majors that has alluded him so far and based on current form, he has a good chance. "James is a great player, you can't underestimate him," said Lewis in an with Live Darts. "Everyone's already talking about me and MVG meeting in the Last 16 but I can't look any further than the First Round. "If you take your eye off the ball in that round, you could be out. If you look around the room for a mug, you're the mug. "I've made the Semi-Finals on the last two occasions there so hopefully I can go two better and win it. "I've been consistent so far throughout the year and I just want to maintain that and keep moving up the rankings. "I'm not looking at majors or anything else, I'm just taking each game as it comes."
