Lewis ‘over the moon’ after career best TV performance at World Series Of Darts Finals

Jamie Lewis claimed a career best TV performance last night in seeing off Dimitri van den Bergh and showing shades of his World Championship performances.
An average of 109.8 was the mark for the Welshman who wanted to play well after a week where he lost his grandfather.
"I'm over the moon with that performance, I haven't had a great year but I felt that was coming," said Lewis.
"I lost my grandfather last week, it's been a really hard week but I knew I was going to come out here and do well for him tonight.
"In my head I was thinking 'I don't want to let him down' and thankfully I performed well for him tonight, so I'm chuffed with that."

If it is going to be done to English players, then we are more than entitled to dish the same back when players face off in England. - I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
