Mensur Suljovic withdraws from European Darts Trophy 2017

Austria's Mensur Suljovic has withdrawn from this weekends' European Tour event, the European Darts Trophy in Gottingen for family reasons, meaning that the highest ranked qualifier from the ProTour Order of Merit, Stephen Bunting, steps up to become the 16th seed and a fifth Host Nation Qualifier was found last night as a result.
Mensur who has been on a bit of a tear as of late winning a Players Championship in Dublin recently and also the Champions League of Darts last month in Cardiff, his first TV title will be an obvious big miss to the tournament with Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright being the two main players left who can trouble each other massively for the title.
Wright in particular will want to end the year on top of the European Tour Order of Merit with both him and Michael van Gerwen winning 5 each of the 11 events so far with only Michael Smith a different winner on the Euro Tour this year.
For Mensur, he will next be in action hopefully at the German Darts Masters World Series event next weekend in Dusseldorf before a spell of multiple major's he is involved in.
