Michael Van Gerwen wins 3rd consecutive exhibition tournament with 121 average in final against Phil Taylor

Michael van Gerwen has won an exhibition tournament in the United Kingdom for the third day in a row defeating Phil Taylor in the final 4-0. After previous events in Preston and Lakeside, the tour was concluded in Bristol on Saturday evening.
Van Gerwen was even more confident in the West-English city in the run-up to the World Championships Darts later this month, as even in Bristol 'Mighty Mike' remained unbeaten.
The 28-year-old started the tournament with a 4-2 victory over 'Hawaii 501' Wayne Mardle, after which former World Championship finalist Mark Dudbridge who will be rejoining MVG on the Pro Tour next year after his Challenge Tour 2nd place which gave him a return but was knocked out 4-2. Taylor won against Vincent van der Voort (4-1) and local qualifier John Brown (4-0) on his way to the final.
In the final Van Gerwen then made short work of 'The Power'. The reigning world champion started with seven perfect arrows, but missed the treble 19 for a go at the D12 for the 9.
However, Van Gerwen extended his lead to 2-0 with a 12-darter, then two 12-darters led to a 3-0 lead. In the fourth - and final - leg the number one of the world relaxed somewhat, but thanks to a 14-darter Van Gerwen booked a 4-0 victory over the Englishman. The average of 'MvG' ultimately came to a total of 120.77 points per turn.
