Three Premier League stars all prevailed in close succession at the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich.

Michael Smith eased into the third round. Relegation rivals Peter Wright and Mensur Suljovic also picked up wins on the Zenith stage. Smith was the first of the triumvirate to take to the stage in Munich. He piled in seven 180s in a 6-2 demolition of Chris Dobey. Hollywood was only allowed three darts at a finish, but found the target with two of them. Smith constantly troubled the treble bed as he raced through to victory. Bully Boy averaged 125 for his first nine darts for the majority of the match, and ended up with a 105.4 average overall.
Wright shared the first four legs with Josh Payne, notching a 119 checkout to remain level. A 180 helped him to the fifth leg, and Snakebite struck to establish a two-leg lead. The world youth finalist responded by winning the seventh leg, but the world number two streaked clear to take the win. Suljovic had the toughest time of the three seeds. But he still came out on top, beating Danny Noppert 6-4. The Dutch ace took out 117 and 109 as he shared the opening six legs with Suljovic. He then broke throw, only for the Gentle to break back. The Austrian then managed to bust 122 in the ninth leg, yet still had two more visits with which to take an important lead. He duly obliged, and then took the tenth leg to secure the win.
