Nicholson got to this point by winning yet another last leg thriller. 'The Asset' was seemingly cruising at 5-2 up but a combination of slack darts as he looked to get over the line and Price hitting the turbo made it 5-5 in the blink of an eye.
Price missed 6 match darts allowing the former Players Championship Finals winner a route through as his landmark run in his resurgence continues.
He will face
Adrian Lewis in the semi-finals who wasn't as good as against Wade but didn't need to be as he claimed a 6-3 win with a 95 average. 'Jackpot' will aim to claim the title at the end of the night to show the darting world his drop in rankings hasn't meant a drop in form.
