The end of the European Championship in Dortmund is getting closer with four players left ready to do battle to secure a major tournament that has been full of drama and shocks.
The first semi-final sees Simon Whitlock aim to continue his wizardry like he often does at this time of the year take on first time major semi-finalist Joe Cullen.
Whitlock previously has claimed this title but can he do it again or will it be The Rockstar’s time to shine?
Then it sees the battle of the crowd favourite Max Hopp who has confounded all the critics once again by continuing his groundbreaking year take on James Wade.
Hopp will have an opponent in Wade who could prove difficult. This is due to his experience as well as him not being fazed by the crowd.
A crowd that has been very much on the side of the Maximiser all weekend and he will hope still to be able to harness them in order to see off a tricky test in the Machine.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
