Peter Wright records first Premier League win over Michael van Gerwen

Peter Wright has finally got one over Michael van Gerwen with his first Premier League win against the World Number One in a brilliant display. 'Snakebite' came through a 7-5 winner in a win that was full of Van Gerwen missing doubles and Wright taking advantage as a result.
Wright will hopefully take that win as confidence ahead of the UK Open Qualifiers this weekend knowing he can defeat Van Gerwen on the big stage and not just on the floor or the Euro Tour.
He averaged 101.04 and hit 3 180's with a high out of 116 and a double success percentage of 58% with Van Gerwen's poor doubles telling at 36%.
This means that Michael Smith and Simon Whitlock the two players that people expected to go down are top of the table currently.
