Justin Pipe had a great 6-1 win by beating Ian White in the second round of the European Darts Open and will face Daryl Gurney or Ron Meulenkamp in the third round.

Pipe did not need a great average (89.66), but his checkout of 54.55% were on a good level. White had a 14.29% checkout and was clearly not on his best today. The match between Gerwyn Price and Richard North went without breaks and needed a deciding leg to decide the winner.
North finally beat Price with 6-5 after a 14-dart leg. North had a fine average of 94.35 while Price had to settle for 84.69. Even though Price had a better checkout percentage he was seriously outscored today by North. Richard North can now prepare himself for a match against Rob Cross or Adrian Lewis on Sunday afternoon.
