Ahead of the Premier League Darts starting tomorrow night, a new concept has been launched. The DartsNews VIP Prediction League featuring some of the top names in the sport going head to head with each other. These include Chris Mason, Jerry Hendriks, Keith Deller, Kim Huybrechts, Mark Webster, Ron Meulenkamp, Vincent van der Voort and Laure James.
Going into the first week of the Premier League Darts competition, five out of the eight have predicted that Mensur Suljovic and Simon Whitlock will draw with only Ron Meulenkamp, Chris Mason and Laure James deciding otherwise all predicting a 7-4 win for the Gentle. All players in the second game have gone for Gary Anderson as opposed to his protégé Michael Smith with the Flying Scotsman despite an injury a heavy favourite to defeat the Bully Boy. It is mixed with the Daryl Gurney match but only Laure James has gone for a win for Daryl Gurney with the other participants going for a Barney victory or a draw. The same can be said for the Michael van Gerwen versus Rob Cross game with the participants across the board going for Mighty Mike, barring Meulenkamp who went for a 6-6 draw. Finally in terms of the Peter Wright vs Gerwyn Price game barring the last two (Vincent van der Voort and Laure James) every participant has gone for a Peter Wright win with the other results being draws between 'Snakebite' and 'The Iceman'.

- Yes, a warning indeed. He is coming to the buffet table, out of his way. This class A goof continues to blither about how he is playing the best darts of his life and even had the laughable audacity to say he was in the best shape of his life. He had a lucky run at Blackpool and even luckier at the World Championship and is still living off that. - I'm a big Huybretchs fan from when he broke through at the euros in the early days, but his action has gone. So jerky and inconsistent.
