The race to win the Dartsnews.com Premier League VIP Prediction League is hotting up with Laure James currently topping the leader board going into the latter stages. As usual, we have the predictions from our competitors ahead of tonight's event in Aberdeen.
The rules are very simple, Every week the VIPs predict the results of the subsequent round of the Premier League Darts. Choosing the right winner gives one point, and correct result garners three points. The participants do not have to fear a ‘Judgement Night’. Everyone plays along to the Play-Offs, which will be played in London on Thursday 17 May. The one who has collected the most points after the final evening wins the VIP prediction competition. In terms of the first match of the evening it sees Michael Smith face Raymond van Barneveld and it is almost split. Last time they played each other Smith pulled off a 7-0 demolition of the legend but they all see a tighter game this time. Smith just edges it with 4/7 of the competitors plumping for the St Helens ace. 4 out of 7 went for an outcome in the second game but it wasn't a win, it was a draw between Peter Wright and Daryl Gurney. All barring two see a big win for Michael van Gerwen with the other two being a draw showing the odds to not be in favour of Gary Anderson.
