Darren Webster has made a rapid rise back up the rankings and barring a TV title can be seen as one of the main forces in darts outside the top five players.
Webster though has not really been part of the Premier League discussion. This could change though.
’The Demolition Man’ has won the most money in a previous season to then be omitted. In previous years, the following year as a result the player has been picked for the Premier League.
These include Mensur Suljovic who would have been picked first year barring his withdrawal from the running as well as Wes Newton, Dave Chisnall, Robert Thornton and Jelle Klaasen.
It has to be said though that in the case of the Norwich native a run could have to occur in a TV tournament for a Premier League place to happen but he is definitely not out of the running. Could he be a surprise entrant in 2019?
