After the Champions League this past weekend, the attention turns to the International Darts Open in Riesa next weekend as the events keep coming thick and fast on the run up to the World Grand Prix, European Championship, Grand Slam, Players Championship Finals, WSOD Finals and of course the World Championship at the end of the year.
Mensur Suljovic will be out to retain the title he defeated Kim Huybrechts for last year and will have new found confidence after winning the Champions League of Darts defeating Gary Anderson in an emotional first TV title for the Gentle, no Gary Anderson and surprisingly no Michael van Gerwen mean Peter Wright is number 1 seed.
This gives Cristo Reyes a return to the Euro Tour as a seed and also means we will get a different winner after back to back MVG victories.
Of the UK Qualifiers they include Steve Beaton, a finalist from Maastricht and a recent Pro Tour winner, Peter Jacques who has impressed this year as well as returns for the likes of Mark Webster, Josh Payne & Ted Evetts who haven't been seen on the Euro Tour for a while.
Finally there will be no Krzysztof Ratajski in Riesa but there will be at ET 12, his place will be taken by Nandor Bezzeg a.k.a Cheeky Nandor and Dennis Nilsson is the Nordic and Baltic qualifier with previous appearances at Ally Pally, Lakeside and the World Cup.
