Anderson saw off fellow Dunvegan stablemate Chris Quantock 6-1 as he aims for back to back Players Championship crowns. Speaking of stablemates, his protege Michael Smith overcame one of the players of the weekend in Gabriel Clemens 6-5 to make it through.
It was a lot more plain sailing for Mickey Mansell who averaged Close to 106 in defeating Mensur Suljovic 6-0. Brendan Dolan and Ricky Evans who have shown some stunning form this weekend; on the Players Championship series are close to back to back Quarter-Finals.
Dangerous players though such as of course the World Number two Peter Wright, multiple major winner James Wade and former Lakeside champion Steve Beaton; are still involved though making for a close conclusion to Players a Championship 12.
