Rob Cross won a World Championship epic against
Dimitri van den Bergh and will play either Michael van Gerwen or Raymond van Barneveld in the semi-finals.
Dimitri showed superb bottle against 'Voltage' to come from a seemingly untenable position of 4-1 down in sets to level it up at 4-4 with some superb finishing and scoring along the way that looked like it might have carried the Dreammaker over the line but it was Cross who ended up completing the job to book a semi-final berth on his World Championship debut.
Cross averaged 97.13 to Dimi's 98.60 and both men were almost neck and neck doubles wise with Van den Bergh getting 17/49 and Cross 19/50. The scoring was evident with Dimitri rattling in 13 180's to Cross's 11 in an Alexandra Palace thriller.
