Rob Hewson has won his maiden PDC title. He defeated Melvin de Fijter to claim Development Tour 3 joining Nathan Rafferty and Wessel Nijman in the winners' circle.
He has played on the Development Tour for some time but today is a breakthrough for him as he has only previously made a Semi-Final at best. Hewson defeated Dawson Murschell, Jaikob Selby, Tommy Wilson and finally Melvin de Fijter to claim the title.
There were a lot of big names left in the competition towards the end but like what has been shown anyone in the field possesses the quality to go on and win an event.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
