The Gibraltar Darts Trophy concludes this evening featuring some of the biggest names left in alongside some names that are having a resurgence. Michael van Gerwen is still involved and looking for a landmark 25th European Tour title come the end of tonight.
He will be facing Jonny Clayton with 'The Ferret' aiming to replicate the win he got over Mighty Mike on the Pro Tour earlier this season. Clayton knows what it takes to win a European Tour having done it in Austria earlier this season and will hope to add the Gibraltar Darts Trophy to his growing collection.
In the second Quarter-Final it will see Steve West who has been suffering with an injury but has played well nonetheless face Rob Cross who is still aiming for a first European Tour title.
He will know though that even if he beats West, he could have Van Gerwen in the semi-finals a player he has not defeated since the World Championship in December.
Gerwyn Price will face Paul Nicholson in what could be a brilliant encounter. Price is starting to hit form again after his poor debut Premier League campaign and will face Nicholson who has reached his first Quarter-Final in five years. Will it be the day of the Iceman or a continued resurgence for The Asset??
Finally Adrian Lewis who hit an average over 105 in defeating James Wade will face the new tournament average record holder Peter Wright who smashed in 108.8 including a 141 and 121 checkout. It is bound to be a brilliant encounter and if one of them keeps it up they could add to their haul of titles.

- Absolutely disgraceful, really I've said many times that ITV coverage is superior to SKY and SKY know that. Jacqui was absolutely fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Emma from SKY is more interested in what to wear than learning about darts. Chris Mason is absolutely the best and greatest commentator on TV, even better than Alex Jacques on F1 and Alex is absolutely brilliant. It is criminal that Chris and Alan will probably never be on TV again, what an amazing waste of talent. Poor Ned, who is just as excellent and knowledgeable on darts as the Tour de France has lost both gigs this year. The whole ITV team from presentation, commentary, production the whole team will definitely be missed and I have enjoyed every minute of their coverage. Thank you so much. John Part is the ONLY decent and knowledgeable person on SKY.
