The 2015 World Championship runner-up,
Fallon Sherrock, has qualified as one of the eight seeded players at the Winmau World Masters later this month following Dutch player Sharon Prins’ withdrawal from the tournament.
Sherrock was placed ninth in the
BDO women’s rankings at the September 11
th cut-off date and therefore outside the automatic qualification places. However, commitments to the Dutch World Cup team and family, means Prins is no longer able to compete at the tournament.
“Fallon was only four points behind Sharon in the ranking tables,” says Winmau’s Sales and Marketing Director, Ian Flack. “It’s a shame Sharon won’t be at the 44
th Winmau World Masters, but I’m sure Fallon is delighted to be able to compete as the eighth seed and not have to battle her way through the incredibly tough floor matches.”
The Winmau World Masters is the longest-running darts major and will be played at the Bridlington Spa, from September 25
th – 27
th. Some of the best players in the world will compete for Winmau titles in Men’s Women’s, Disability, Boys and Girls events.
