Michael Smith moved into the semi-finals of the Melbourne Darts Masters after producing a brilliant comeback win against Rob Cross.

The reigning world champion took a 4-1 lead with a 150 checkout, but Smith hit back with a 132 finish and reduced the deficit to 6-5. However, 'Bullyboy' missed one chance to level the match in the twelfth leg. Cross took out 84 to continue his advantage and led with 8-5 and 9-6.
Smith threw two ton plus finishes and a 99 checkout to force a legdecider, but 'Voltage' had the advantage to start the last leg. Cross left 83 after twelve darts, but missed the bullseye to claim the win. Smith stepped in and hit a stunning 122 finish to beat the world number three.
