Smith thrashes Wright to take a step closer to first Play-Off appearance

Michael Smith inflicted a demolition on Peter Wright to all but secure his spot in the Play-Offs at the O2. He defeated 'Snakebite' 7-1 in a win that knocks him out of contention for a play-off spot of his own.

He averaged 104 to send a message to the rest of the chasing pack as he continues to back-up his inclusion in the Premier League with more stunning darts. Smith hit four 180's and 70% on his doubles with some brilliant finishes; including 104, 128 & 126 on his way to a brilliant victory.

'Bully Boy' has to play twice tonight with him facing Michael van Gerwen later but he will be in a buoyant mood that he can get a big win out of it after that display.
