Stevenson on reaching maiden PDC major quarter-final at UK Open: ‘It’s incredible to be in the quarters’

Simon Stevenson is through to a maiden PDC Quarter-Final after seeing off Dave Chisnall and will now dare to dream in Minehead.

Stevenson spoke afterwards and said that its incredible to be into the latter stages. He also said the fan support has meant a lot to him over the course of the weekend. “It’s incredible to be in the quarters, I thought I was dead and buried but I hung in there and took my opportunities when they came,” said Stevenson. “I was just trying to stay as calm as I possibly could but to win that one is truly unbelievable. “The crowd really pushed me on, it’s been a fantastic atmosphere all weekend and I’m looking forward to tomorrow so much – who knows how far I can go.” for more information about the UK Open including the schedule, prize fund breakdown, TV coverage and format.
