Mensur Suljovic ended a fairytale weekend by winning his maiden TV title defeating Gary Anderson 11-9 in the final of the Champions League of Darts at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff!
Despite the averages not being the highest especially from the winner, it was a thriller that will live long in the memory!
It caps off a brilliant rise for the Austrian who went from being a lower ranked player to being a star on the Euro Tour to finally now winning his first TV title which will potentially confirm his spot in next years' Premier League. A massive outsider this weekend who doubted his own ability will no longer be that in future tournaments including the World Grand Prix and European Championship in the coming months!

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
