Taylor on role with Sky Sports during World Matchplay: “I will tell the truth, of course I will, I’ll be brutally honest”

Phil Taylor will be back on our TV screens tonight (Saturday) as a pundit as opposed to a played for Sky Sports as the World Matchplay begins.
Taylor has spoke ahead of it and admits he will be brutally honest and if he doesn’t like something he won’t hold back.
As well as speaking about his new role, ‘The Power’ also discussed his thoughts on darts and how he only really watches Gary Anderson and Peter Wright now as there are no real characters in the game anymore.
He revealed in an interview with Live Darts: "I won't be dishonest with you.
"Some of the characters in the game I am not a big fan of, I'll be honest with you. I flick. I put the TV on, put on the Premier League, see what the score is, and certain players I will sit and watch.
"Certain players will do something and off it goes, and I will watch something else. Maybe Top Gear.
“I do like watching Peter Wright and Gary Anderson.I also like Dimitri van den Bergh and Mensur Suljovic, I love him when he is on form, He's great to watch.
"He is a character, has a nice way about him, he also winds people up. I like Adrian Lewis when he is in the mood.
"Peter and Gary can be Michael van Gerwen’s biggest rivals. When both of them want to turn it on, they can do.
“I think Michael is beatable, that's been proved. But it's all about desire with Peter and Gary. If they want to do it in Blackpool, we could be in for a cracker and the Scots might end up being the happiest of the lot."
Taylor spoke about his role with Sky at the event and admitted he will not be pulling any punches and will be brutally honest in terms of his punditry.
He added: "I am doing a little bit for Sky, I will enjoy it. I will tell the truth, of course I will, I’ll be brutally honest. If they don’t like it, they don’t like it.”

- This coming from the lowest ranked player in it who was only selected by his paranoia for attention from the crowd by having to conduct the crowd to his walk on music. I know a lot of darts fans who cannot stand Arsepinall, oddly I know people who don't like darts but frequently attend events for the atmosphere and have no idea who was playing.
