Phil Taylor will be part of the Quarter-Final lineup tomorrow against Daryl Gurney after knocking out the qualifier Robert Marijanovic. He took the first leg but was unlucky in missing multiple checkouts which Taylor punished and as a result he came out a 6-2 winner in his last ever World Series event.
Michael van Gerwen despite having an injury to his non playing ankle which showed him to be visibly in pain throughout got through the German number two and the rising star 'The Wall' Martin Schindler who gave the best performance of the night but lost 6-2 due to clinical finishing from the world number one. He moves through to face James Wade tomorrow in a game that is the best of 19 which if Mighty Mike's condition doesn't improve could favour the resurgent Machine.
