Also the
UK Open has shown the real magic of the tournament with a group of 4 players left who weren't expected with a chance of making a first major final.
The 4 left are well established names but players who wouldn't have been expected to reach the final day. The first game includes David Pallett and Steve West. Pallett has been in good form over the past month while West has been hit and miss.
John Part has rolled back the years and he will play Robert Owen, the Welshman who last year in an interview with
Dartsnews.com said he wanted to be the number one player in Wales. He is going the right way about it showing the form which saw some good runs come about towards the back end of 2017.
The two big games though come from the bottom half and that is Corey Cadby vs Gerwyn Price. Cadby is in his first UK Open but will be fancied to potentially overcome Price. It will be a rematch of their WSOD Finals encounter which included a lot of over-celebrating in an entertaining encounter.
Finally it is Gary Anderson vs Rob Cross meaning there is a major chance a first time major champion (barring Part) could be crowned as they will now not meet in the final.
