The semi-final's of the first UK Open Qualifier at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan are set with 4 of the world's best squaring off against each other for the 10,000 pounds winners cheque and the pride of being the first player to win a ProTour title in 2018. Those include Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright who could meet in the final.
Also there are semi-finals for Michael Smith and Adrian Lewis. Van Gerwen smashed Daryl Gurney 6-1 in just under 15 minutes and took out 130 for the match to show he is the best player in the world and the favourite for today's title.
Wright himself came through a close encounter with Kim Huybrechts winning 6-4 and will play Michael Smith who defeated Kyle Anderson 6-3.
Finally Adrian Lewis defeated the unknwon quantity of today, Jose Antonio Justicia Perales and the game went down to the wire in a deciding leg shootout which means 'Jackpot' who is seemingly returning to the form that saw him win in Milton Keynes last year in the Players Championship series will play 'Mighty Mike' in the other semi-final of today.
