Peter Wright progressed to the UK Open Qualifying 6 semi-finals, despite David Pallett almost achieving perfection in Wigan.

Pallett narrowly missed double 18 for a nine-darter. The Englishman won the leg but not the match, as Snakebite prevailed 6-4 to reach another semi-final. The UK Open champion Rob Cross ended John Goldie's superb run to reach the semi-finals in Wigan. Voltage averaged 108 in a 6-3 win over the Scot. The world champion will play Krzysztof Ratajski in the semi-finals. The Polish Eagle ended Corey Cadby's run, winning 6-4. Daryl Gurney beat Danny Noppert 6-2 to round off the semi-final line-up.
Meanwhile, a tiebreaking play-off was needed. Ted Evetts beat Michael Rasztovits 6-1 to receive a bye through the first round in Minehead. The pair could not be separated after six events. Evetts takes 64th place in the UK Open Order of Merit, while Rasztovits finishes in 65th. Incredibly, 12 players will face off for the last two spots in the Order of Merit. Jeff Smith and Robert Marijanovic are among the players tied for the 95th and 96th places. But Marijanovic, who is absent, will miss out on taking part in the play-offs.
