Van den Bergh tops averages in run to German Darts Masters final

Dimitri van den Bergh reached the final this past weekend at the German Darts Masters showing why he was included and also adding weight to his claims that he is a big stage player.

Van den Bergh hit the highest average over the day with 109.98 which was ahead of one of the players he defeated on the way, Michael van Gerwen. MVG features again on the list down in 8th with 98.72.
In addition, the champion Mensur Suljovic had the 5th and 6th best efforts with 101.63 and 99.71. This showed that he didn’t have to wow with the massive averages to claim the title; but Van den Bergh’s did help him get past the two favourites.
Finally, Peter Wright who lost in the semi-final in the defence of his title; was 3rd on the list with 102.66. There was no Rob Cross or Raymond van Barneveld on the list which in the case of Cross shows his inconsistency at the moment.
