Van Gerwen extends three records with German Darts Open title win

Michael van Gerwen claimed victory at the German Darts Open seeing off Ian White and he has extended three records in the process.

Van Gerwen was taken to last leg deciders in three out of his four games on Sunday; as a result has won 23 consecutive deciders in a row stretching back to the Gibraltar Darts Trophy in 2015 against Kevin Painter.
He has also had 24 consecutive wins in Pro Tour finals since the European Darts Grand Prix loss to Peter Wright in 2017.
Finally he has claimed 26 consecutive wins in the new best of 13 and best of 15 format on the European Tour.
