Michael van Gerwen will aim to get back on track tonight with two games in a bumper night in the race for the Play-Offs in Manchester. The World Number 1 will face Daryl Gurney and Michael Smith, two of the leading lights in the race to the O2.
MVG knows that if he can win twice tonight he will secure top spot in the league for a 6th consecutive year. For Van Gerwen though what will play on his mind will be the two losses he suffered last week. For Mighty Mike though he admits those two nights are gone and it isn't about two nights it is about the full season. He is determined on grabbing two wins and finishing top of the table. "Last week in Rotterdam was really disappointing but that's gone now and this tournament isn't about one or two nights but the whole season," said Van Gerwen, who posted averages of 106 and 103 in his two defeats. "I've got two matches in Manchester and I'm determined to win them both. I want to finish top of the table and I'm going to do everything I can to achieve that. "Daryl and Michael are playing really well so I know what I've got to do on Thursday."
