Mario Vandenbogaerde claimed the title at the BDO German Open with a 6-5 win over Martijn Kleermaker in the final on Saturday evening.
The Belgian defeated 13-year-old Leighton Bennett in the semi-finals, as the youngster beat the likes Dave Parletti, Justin van Tergouw and Nick Kenny to reach the semi-finals. Aileen de Graaf defended her ladies title at the German Open as he edged out Fallon Sherrock in the final.
Owen Roelofs and Lerena Rietbergen won the two youth titles. Roelofs became the winner of the boys event after defeating Oliver Pieper in the final, while Rietbergen overcame Rosanne van der Velde to win the girls tournament.
