Vandenbogaerde was previously this year a finalist at the Belfry Open losing to Jim Williams but has gone one better this time. He defeated Matt Clark who is splitting his time between
BDO and PDC this year after losing his tour card.
Compared to the previous day, quite a lot of well known names reached the latter stages. These included Jim Williams, Michael Unterbuchner and Andy Hamilton. Ultimately though they were unsuccessful.
Hedman has claimed her second title of the weekend in seeing off Aileen De Graaf in a 5-3 victory. ‘The Heart of Darts’ saw off Jana Kanovska for the second day running as well as Julie Thompson before De Graaf in the final.
