Wade continues brilliant form in win over Lewis to reach semi-final in Vienna

The new European Champion James Wade has continued where he left off in Dortmund as he moves into yet another semi-final.
This time he saw off Jamie Lewis to set up a tie with either Raymond van Barneveld or Michael van Gerwen later on.
A 94 average, 7x 180’s and a high checkout of 108 meant that it was a typical Wade performance.
He will hope to continue that as he goes in search of a second consecutive TV title.
For Lewis, he can hold his head high with a return to form for the Welshman after a poor year.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
