The first two games of round one at the Auckland Darts Masters are complete with two PDC representatives in the form of Simon Whitlock and Rob Cross surviving serious scares against their qualifier opponents.

Whitlock started off as he returned down under and survived match darts against Ben Robb who looked good on his TV debut.
Robb of course took the place of Corey Cadby and used that to it’s full pushing ‘The Wizard’ to his limit.
Cross on the other hand had moments of brilliance but kicked off 180 before getting two more darts in the nine dart combo. This broke the throw of Hurring when he was one away.
This allowed ‘Voltage’ to squeeze over the line in a first game also for Hurring on TV. It shows the standard in Australia/New Zealand is improving all the time.
