Wilson first of all looked brilliant in his win averaging 103 and hitting six 180’s en route to a win over a difficult opponent in Jonny Clayton. Clayton staged a mini comeback when 5-0 down but didn’t do enough to get back on level terms with the Huddersfield ace.
Webster had more of a battle but still hit six out of eleven on his doubles on his way to a last leg decider win over Stephen Bunting. He also hit two 180’s and a high checkout of 121 with a 14 darter in the aforementioned decider enough to see off The Bullet.
