The Buxton ace has now given her thoughts on entering the qualifier:
"I think this is a massive step forward for ladies darts. The standard has risen to another level over the last few years.”
Winstanley added on the potential of playing in the tournament as well as the BDO:
“I'm excited at the prospect of this - especially as we don't know what the future holds for the BDO."
Alongside the recent World Trophy finalist, the likes of Deta Hedman, Fallon Sherrock, Anastasia Dobromyslova and Corrine Hammond have been
confirmed.
Lisa Ashton, Sharon Prins and Aileen de Graaf have been rumoured to also be involved.
What is for sure is that the next few months will be interesting as the Alexandra Palace gets closer.
